Jury Verdict Would Award Microsoft $14.5 Million in Breach of Contract Case Against Motorola

The jury in the breach of contract case between Microsoft and Motorola yesterday returned a verdict finding that Motorola breached its duty to negotiate toward a FRAND license in good faith, and awarding Microsoft $14.5 million in damages.  For background on the case, see my draft article on FRAND and SEPs, here, at pages 5-6.  Coverage of yesterday's development from the New York Times here, from Foss Patents here and here, and from the Essential Patents blog here.
