Professor Sarah Tran

I was saddened to hear this afternoon that Sarah Tran, a professor of patent law at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, died last week from complications of leukemia.  I had the pleasure of meeting Professor Tran at a patent remedies conference at the University of San Diego in 2012, and she later published a post about one of my articles on her blog, Written Description.  She was a very productive and inspiring young scholar, as you can see from her faculty webpage and from this article about her last year from Law360.  I understand that she leaves behind her husband and two children, and that there is a memorial fund for the children, accessible here.  Please join me in remembering Professor Tran.
